Building on from her 15 year career in Dubai, local Cheltenham businesswoman Claire Alves has swapped her life in the middle east for a new eco-friendly professional housekeeping franchise business, Bright & Beautiful®, covering Cheltenham and its surrounds.

Raised in the Cotswolds, Claire has chosen to return to her roots and start her own business in the heart of the local community, as well as creating a number of housekeeping jobs for local people.

Having spent the last few years juggling work, home and family life,  Claire knew she wanted a career change that would give her greater control over her own schedule and workload, whilst being able to provide a premium cleaning service that makes a difference to people’s lives.

Prior to becoming a new franchise owner, Claire who is a Chartered Governance Professional, enjoyed a successful career in financial services helping to set up and launch the international financial exchange in Dubai, and then moved into the luxury hotel and hospitality sector in Dubai.  With a vision to be the preferred choice for all households in the area, Claire brings a plethora of transferrable skills to her new business, from organisation and planning to HR, marketing, recruitment and staff engagement.

Claire is accompanied by her trusted team of local professional housekeepers, all of whom have been carefully selected, referenced and DBS checked, and working in teams to ensure reliability and client peace of mind. The team delivers a bespoke and tailored service that offers cleaning, tidying, laundry and ironing to the highest standards of service and security and only use effective eco-friendly products and equipment to ensure they protect the health of their clients, their children and the team.

Claire said: “After working in the corporate environment for over 30 years, I was keen to experience a completely different industry, whilst still being able to continue my lifelong learning and career progression.  Having extensively researched the market, I found the Bright & Beautiful franchise opportunity and it ticked all the boxes.  It not only provided me with the freedom to set up my own business, but also with the structures and economies of scale you only experience from being part of a far larger organisation.

“The chance to run a business, combined with my passion to provide an exceptional customer service, made the decision to launch my own professional housekeeping firm a very easy one.  The brands four pillars – holistic housekeeping, strict security, trusted team and eco-friendly – resonate closely with my own personal values, and coupled with their ethical ethos and standards, I just knew I had to take the opportunity to be part of the Bright & Beautiful family.  I’m really excited to be able to deliver a first-class service that always delivers its promises to the local community.”

Based in Cheltenham, Bright & Beautiful also covers Montpellier, Leckhampton, Charlton Kings, Shurdington and surrounding areas. It is part of a national network of over 65 franchisees building their own local business, creating more than 800 jobs and delivering more than 10,000 home cleans per month.
