How much support do Franchisees get from the Franchisor?

Most franchisors offer initial training to get your business up and running, but you’ll want to find out what kind of on-going support is available and how it compares to what similar franchisors offer. What support staff will be accessible to you on a day-to-day basis? Are there any ongoing training opportunities? Is on-site assistance available? What tools and resources are provided to make my job easier? Make sure you feel comfortable with the level of support that will be available to you after you open your doors.

When you take on a franchise, unlike starting your own business, you’re not alone, and that can be a great comfort. Just make sure you know exactly how much support you will get, ask what other people’s experiences are and how much help the company offered those people. How much support do other franchisees receive?

One of the hardest things is asking for help when things are going wrong. But if you know that the support will be there and that the franchisor is willing to help, the process will be a little easier.
