Ex-Dunelm manager closes the curtains on his old job to join Optic-Kleer

Ex-Dunelm manager Tony Arnold is now the owner of a franchise with Optic-Kleer.

After managing various retail stores for 22 years, Tony decided that he wanted to be boss of his own company. Franchising appealed to him as not only would he be running his own business under the umbrella of an established brand, he would get all  the business support he knew he was going to need.

For Tony, the Optic-Kleer franchise stood out head and shoulders above the rest because of the longevity of Optic-Kleer and he wanted to be a part of the UK’s largest independent windscreen repair only company.

Tony says “It is the best decision I’ve ever made. It is a bit nerve-wracking setting up your own business and doing your first few jobs, but when you are part of a good franchise network, you know that you can rely on the training and advice you receive upfront. I was shown how to set up my business, how to run it successfully and given help with accounting. Even better, there is always someone available on the end of the phone if you have any queries or concerns”.

Less than 2 months in to the business, Tony has found out that he was been earning from day 1 as there is no building up the business as he doesn’t have to go and find the work. Work finds him as people always have chips in
their windscreens.

All windscreen chips will eventually crack so having  the chip repaired is stopping the inevitable. In most cases the insurance excess on a chip repair is cheaper than on a windscreen replacement.
