Kevin Hydes began his career in hotel operations and restaurant management before re-training to commence a marketing career in 1999.
He joined the Whitbread Group in 2000 where he worked on a number of restaurant brands - including Beefeater and Brewers Fayre - and learned to develop new concepts for Whitbread.
He joined Costa in 2005 and led the charge to go from challenger brand to market leader. Kevin had worked his way up to Marketing Director by 2010, where he led the function during a significant period of growth. The team won many awards under his leadership, including the distinguished Marketing Magazine Brand of the Year in 2011, and by 2012 Costa had become the market leader.
Other notable successes were the creation and launch of the first digital loyalty scheme in the coffee shop market in March 2010 and the launch of Costa Express.
Off the back of these successes, he rose to International and Brand Development Director. In this role he was responsible for managing and developing brand execution across both equity international markets in Poland, Singapore and France, and for franchise operations across 26 markets in Europe, the Middle East and South-East Asia.
In 2017 he joined the SK Group as Chief Finance & Commercial Officer and is tasked with overseeing Tim Hortons’ roll out plans for the U.K & Ireland.
