Royal recognition for Home Instead

Home Instead Senior Care is delighted to announce that it has, once again, received Royal recognition having recently been named as one of only 44 organisations to receive a Princess Royal Training Award.

In 2016 they received an inaugural Princess Royal Training award for their dementia training and this latest award has been bestowed upon them for their new End of Life training which, like their dementia training, is City & Guilds accredited.

The specialist end of life training was developed to give their 9,000 CAREGivers the personal skills and knowledge to cope with the practical and emotional demands of delivering end of life care. The aims of the training are to support CAREGivers during what is a difficult part of care work and also to improve the quality of care provided to clients.

It is known that an estimated 60 per cent of people wish to die at home. By supporting their CAREGivers through training, their franchise offices are able to make that wish a reality for people.

Commenting on the award, Director of Business Development, Ruth Brown said, “In entering this award we were able to share compelling evidence of how this training has had a positive impact on our CAREGivers and also on our franchise owners businesses.

“Our home care is personal and it doesn’t get much more personal than supporting a client, and their family, at the end of their life. This new training ensures that our CAREGivers are fully supported and the award is further evidence of Home Instead going to extra mile to raise standards in the home care sector.”

Home Instead support their franchise owners and their teams in many different ways. This is just one of the training initiatives which have led to them being the No.1 most recommended home care provider in the homecare.co.uk awards voted by the most important people their clients and their families.
