Lisa Tse MBE and Helen Tse MBE of Sweet Mandarin Sauces to inspire entrepreneurs during keynote presentation

Successful local sisters to supply crucial business advice at The Northern Franchise Exhibition on Saturday 23 June at EventCity, Manchester.

Aspiring entrepreneurs will head to this renowned event as they explore how to make ambitions of business ownership and growth a reality.

The twin sisters set up Sweet Mandarin, a Chinese restaurant in the Northern Quarter of Manchester, in 2004, which then shot to fame on Channel 4’s ‘Gordon Ramsay’s F Word’. Beating 10,000 restaurants to win the title of ‘Britain’s Best Local Chinese Restaurant,’ the sisters continued their upward trajectory with the launch of their own range of sauces.

Sweet Mandarin Sauces create award-winning sauces inspired by traditional family recipes passed down over three generations. Catering to a variety of dietary needs, the sauces secured investment BBC’s Dragon’s Den in 2012 and are now distributed across the globe. In 2014, the sisters each received an MBE from the Queen for services to the food industry.

Lisa and Helen’s presentation will offer eight crucial tips to business success, empowering the audience with practical advice and steps they can apply immediately, even as they explore the exhibition.

From how to examine personal strengths and passions to inform which business to pursue, to how to turn ideas into action and reality, the sisters will guide their audience on how to start out in business and how to make a success of any venture.

Lisa comments: “After a family visit to Hong Kong many years ago, Helen and I had the revelation that we came from a family of ‘foodies’ who, despite their humble background, were not afraid to pursue their dreams. This inspired us to set up our own business and continue the family tradition of entrepreneurialism and a passion for wonderful, flavourful food.

“I believe that whatever their background, and whatever business a person chooses to pursue, there are some fundamental guiding principles for success. Helen and I look forward to sharing what we have learned along the way so that audience members can follow their dreams of business ownership with clarity and confidence.”

Lisa and Helen will be offering a further taste of their success by giving away a bottle of their famous sauce to each audience member at their keynote presentation.
