Woodward reveals what makes a winner to Dream Doors’ franchisees
Former England rugby union coach Sir Clive Woodward spoke about what it takes to create a winner at Dream Doors’ annual conference.
Almost 300 showroom owners, corporate suppliers and head office staff attended the event at Hampshire’s Ageas Bowl cricket grounds. Talking to franchisees from the UK’s #1 kitchen makeover company, Sir Clive said that leading England’s rugby union team to victory in the 2003 world cup was all about teamwork. He said: “Talent alone is not enough – great teams are made up of great individuals.”
This was the first conference Dream Doors has delivered as part of the Neighbourly group and attendees heard from Neighbourly’s President Mike Bidwell and its Vice President of International Operations Jeff Meyers.
Brand leaders set out Dream Doors’ roadmap for 2020, including new incentives for showrooms who beat their previous sales figures. Dream Doors’ managing director Ed Brewer said: “The number of showrooms in our network that are achieving £1million or more in annual turnover is growing year on year.
“We’re in a position as a company now where we can begin to drive that kind of success throughout the whole network and that’s what we will be doing in 2020.”
Conference attendees also raised more than £3,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
Dream Doors is looking for more talented franchisees who are ready to represent an industry-leading brand. There are just 19 new franchise territories available nationwide, particularly in the North East, North West, Yorkshire and Scotland.
