Uncovering the secret of business expansion without compromising values

Just last year, as the proud owner of a family business, Mark Anthony was searching for growth opportunities that wouldn’t undermine the company’s ethos. Thanks to a visit to a franchise exhibition, hot tub business Award Leisure Franchise is now welcoming franchisees with open arms.

After taking advantage of the expert services offered at the exhibition to launch the successful company as a franchise, Award Leisure Franchise is now a member of the British Franchise Association (bfa) and is already in the position to look for the perfect franchisees to join the team.

On why he decided to franchise the business, Mark, comments: “To create a successful business is to create a high standard across all branches with a bank of driven team members who share your passion for business. I have found that franchising is a great way to be able to achieve this because it attracts like-minded people with the desire to succeed.”

After visiting the exhibition, Mark came away with a clear idea of what he needed to do to franchise the lucrative family business. He explains: “The exhibitions are a great place to test the market and give you the confidence to franchise your own business. They also provide opportunities to network within the industry, helping you to build your knowledge of what it takes to be a successful franchise.”

For those looking to franchise their business, Mark advises: “Ensure that your business is set up so that you can train people to do the same job that you do. This will help maintain consistency across the brand. Also, take advantage of the services offered at the exhibitions, such as the financial and business planning services. Without them, we would not be in the position to recruit franchisees yet.”
