Tutor Doctor named best education franchise in the UK

Tutor Doctor, the global in-home and online tutoring franchise, is celebrating after being named as the number one education franchise in the UK. From hundreds of entries across every sector, the business has made the ranking in the prestigious Elite Franchise Top 100 (EF100), coming in at an impressive seventh place, competing against huge fast-food brands like Subway. A title the brand can proudly hold throughout 2022.

The EF100, established in 2017 in association with HSBC, recognises the sector’s brightest businesses and ranks them according to a broad range of criteria; from their financial performance and heritage, to their contribution to the community and the way they embrace innovation.

“We’re thrilled to have been recognised as the number one education franchise in the UK and incredibly proud to have finished in the top 15 every year since the EF100 began. This achievement validates our ongoing commitment to maximising the academic potential of kids all over the UK,” said Frank Milner, President of Tutor Doctor. “The education sector is one that has been heavily relied upon throughout the pandemic, with tutors and franchise staff tasked with the duty of keeping kids stimulated, active and healthy in such a restrictive period.

“Despite a difficult economic climate, the last 18 months has seen our brand survive and thrive thanks to our robust infrastructure and proven business model.  Our success is a collective effort of our dedicated UK-wide network 78 franchisees, loyal team members and exceptional leadership – all of whom have shown such resilience and commitment. The EF100 recognises quality and outstanding service – both things that resonate heavily in our ethos – and it proudly sits at the heart of everything we do. We are constantly raising the standards within the education sector and believe this ranking will set us apart once again. It is a welcome boost for the year ahead.”

“We feel that Tutor Doctor has well and truly earned their place in the top ten Elite Franchise Top 100 list,” said Scott English, Brand Director of Elite Franchise. “This definitive Top 100 ranking shows the crème de la crème of franchisors in the UK. Each year, the ranking becomes more competitive, and this year has been no exception for our panel of industry-leading judges. This year, brands were also judged on any measures they initiated to survive the challenges of the pandemic, along with long-term planning they employed to experience prosperity and growth post-pandemic. Achieving this position is a testament to everything that Tutor Doctor has achieved – they have consistently demonstrated a gold-standard level of franchising.”

The franchise industry contributes over £17billion to the UK economy and more than 700,000 people are employed in franchising across the country.
