Trend bucking figures for leading hybrid agent
With national statistics suggesting a continued fall in house prices and a growing disparity between the average asking and selling price, a leading hybrid agency has revealed its latest figures which show it yet again bucking industry trends.
Following Nationwide’s announcement that one house seller in three has had to reduce its asking price in recent months – some by up to 50% – EweMove has revealed that properties sold across its network this year to date have gone for an average of 97.5% of their original asking price – a figure which it has consistently achieved for the past four years.
Nick Neill, Managing Director and ‘Head Shepherd’ at EweMove, said: “With a significant UK-wide increase in house price reductions in recent months, we’re thrilled to announce our latest figures which are absolutely contrary to this.
“It’s clear that many agents are being impacted in some way by a combination of increasing living costs, stricter lending criteria, and the continued uncertainty around Brexit, which is seeing buyers unwilling (or unable) to pay what sellers are asking for. It’s also evident that these latest figures are a result of over-zealous agents who are simply being unrealistic about the prices they’re asking for in the first place.
“But for us, this is simply not the case. Our entire ethos is focused on providing the highest quality solutions to our customers’ property needs and in understanding what they really care about, which is ultimately achieving a successful sale in terms of when their property sells and how much it sells for. This is why we’re committed to continually tracking and monitoring everything we do to ensure we get it absolutely right – from the property’s price and sales particulars all the way through to its presentation and carrying out all accompanied viewings. In addition, we are completely focused on delivering exceptional customer service and on developing relationships built on solid foundations of integrity and trust.”
The UK’s first hybrid estate agency, EweMove currently operates 110 branches across the UK, with 21 new franchises launched this year alone. Almost half of these have been launched by experienced estate agents defecting from some of the industry’s biggest names, including Countrywide, Hamptons, and Foxtons.
Nick concluded: “Our unwavering commitment to service quality and to continual innovation puts us in an enviable position to be able to retain a strong platform on which our franchisees can build hugely profitable businesses, and our much valued customers can benefit from successful outcomes for every one of their property needs – now and in the future.”
EweMove, part of the Property Franchise Group family, is the UK’s most trusted sales and letting agency based on independent reviews through Trustpilot. The country’s first ever hybrid agency launched in 2014, it manages and sells thousands of properties across the length and breadth of the country. EweMove prides itself on providing exceptional customer service through its network of experienced local property agents on the ground, all supported by a national operations centre and cutting-edge technology.
