TaxAssist Accountants continues to hold steady at 22nd in the Accountancy magazine Top 75 rankings

TaxAssist Accountants continues to hold steady at 22nd in Accountancy magazine’s Top 75 rankings, as fee income throughout the UK’s accounting industry continues to grow despite an uncertain economy.

One of the key factors behind the continued growth of the TaxAssist Accountants franchise network was its 11% increase in fee income – up from £33.6m to £37.3m a growth rate that significantly outpaced the sector average.

Karl Sandall, Group Chief Executive Director, said: “Double digit growth despite the current economic uncertainty is quite an achievement. TaxAssist is now a substantial national and international network, with a highly visible presence on the high street, which has contributed to our continuing success.

“We have invested heavily in staff, technology, cloud software, training, support and brand awareness and our network is reaping the benefits of this.

“In the last year, almost 14,000 small businesses said “yes” to becoming a client of a TaxAssist Accountants franchisee and January 2018 proved to be a record-breaking month for TaxAssist with 1,479 qualified leads delivered to the network.

“There are many changes afoot in the accountancy industry, particularly for our small business clients, most notably with Making Tax Digital, GDPR and cloud technology. We foresee a substantial need for support and client advisory services delivered through our network of one-stop-shops, and we are ensuring our network are ready and ideally placed to take advantage of the opportunities that change will bring.”
