Papa John’s Named as Pizza Delivery Chain of the Year for 2019

Leading pizza franchise, Papa John’s, has been named as the Pizza, Pasta & Italian Food Association (PAPA), pizza delivery chain of the year for 2019.

The award recognises the chain operators who are successfully driving the delivery/takeaway sector. The award win was announced at a special ceremony which aimed to showcase and recognise the finest pizza, pasta and Italian food businesses across the country, held on 14 November at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London.

Justin Gilbert, director of business development Papa John’s UK confirms: “We are delighted to win this important award. Over the past year, the management team have made significant improvements across the business, from supporting franchisees to improving store operations, rolling out a new store image, and increasing product innovation. One of the best examples of this was our Bee Sting pizza – a fiery honey-drizzled culinary creation, which really ‘went down well’ with customers. Our new vegan pizzas have proved incredibly popular too.

“In addition, we began a rolling programme to re-fresh the look and feel of our retail stores to make them even more welcoming and add that all important fun factor!”

Phil Gaffer, QFP, franchise sales and business development manager Papa John’s UK confirms:: “Working with our multi-unit franchisees, we have been helping them develop their portfolio of stores to gain economies of scale, reduce overheads and add more to the bottom line. One of our very successful franchisees in London runs more than 20 Papa John’s!

“However, our “BETTER INGREDIENTS. BETTER PIZZA.” concept will always remain at the heart of what we do, ensuring Papa John’s pizza is made with only the finest ingredients for a better flavour. Our franchisees and staff are committed to delivering on this promise as we continue to expand throughout the UK in 2020 and beyond.”

Papa John’s is actively recruiting for more enthusiastic multi-unit franchisees. As one of the largest pizza companies in the world, Papa John’s has opportunities for multi-unit franchisees throughout the UK. Help is provided with location selection and full turn-key opening of stores. As a franchise, the Company supplies all the assistance needed to get your successful Papa John’s up and running.
