New Business Doctor Open for Business in Cheshire

This month Cheshire businessman Tim Cornes will be joining Business Doctors, the UK’s fastest growing support service for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs).

From 19 March Tim (pictured), who lives in Macclesfield, will be providing support and strategic advice to owners and directors of SMEs in the East Cheshire & High Peak regions. He’ll be working alongside established Cheshire Business Doctors Kevin Cook, Mark Greenhalgh and Pamela Drew to strengthen the national network’s influence on the economic success of the region, which includes Crewe, Nantwich, Wrexham and Flintshire.

There are currently 42 Business Doctors operating throughout the UK. The network is geared to drive business growth, from strategies for sales and boosting profits, to advice for effective people management, accessing finance and acquiring other companies.

With a solid background in senior management and finance, Tim understands the complexities of leading a business, having led many B2B businesses in his career, and is looking forward to helping and supporting SME owners achieve the vision for their business.

During his career in PLC and Private Equity owned businesses, Tim was responsible for leading employees globally; with responsibility for up to 200 people, he has proved he is a successful business leader.

Part of his role as director involved growing the company through smart strategy, and he intends to use this experience in his role as a Business Doctor.

“I want to make a real difference and be a partner to SMEs in the East Cheshire and High Peak areas,” he said. “I understand leading a business can be, at times, a lonely place, and my experience supporting the formal and professional development of leaders and those below them will be great support to help SMEs to achieve their full potential.”

“My approach will be through partnership, providing passion and desire to empower and enable SME business owners to unlock and achieve their vision. I believe in giving it more than 100%,” he added.

Rod Davies, the network’s co-founder, said: “We are delighted that we are still growing our presence in Cheshire. Tim joining the operation is giving us fantastic coverage across the county – a definite asset to the local business community.

Each Business Doctor has proven proficiency, and is able to provide advice and support, based on real experience. Tim implicitly understands what business owners need and will give top class support, helping them grow and achieve their ambitions” Rod Davies
