Franchise harnesses latest technology to combat fraud

The UK’s leading independent property search franchise, X-Press Legal Services has announced a new partnership to prevent fraudulent transactions.

Demonstrating the franchise’s ongoing commitment to combatting fraud within the conveyancing industry, X-Press has announced a new partnership with service provider LMS to deliver Confirmly, a fast, trusted and secure law firm identity checking technology.
All X-Press franchisees can now offer their conveyancing clients access to Confirmly through the company’s Intelligent Conveyancing Online System, ICOS. The product reduces the risks associated with money transfers and allows the quick and easy gathering of information from trusted third-party sources.
Lynne Lister, Managing Director at X-Press Legal Services, comments:

“Customer experience is a huge priority for us as an industry-leading franchise and increasing the ease and efficiency with which our clients can perform identity checks is essential. We want the conveyancing journey to be as seamless as possible while also increasing the security and reliability of bank account checks to stop end borrowers falling foul of fraudsters.

LMS Confirmly is pivotal for us in this regard and provides our clients with yet another fantastic tool to ensure their transactions are safe and protected from cybercrime.”

The integration of Confirmly into ICOS directly addresses growing concerns amongst the conveyancing community regarding rising cybercrime.  X-Press selected Confirmly because of its ability to identify fraudulent transactions before any transfer of funds.
“Unfortunately, the way in which cyber criminals work is becoming increasingly sophisticated,” added Lynne.  “’Trust no one’ has to be our mantra when it comes to protecting conveyancing transactions.  With Confirmly now part of our product suite, our franchisees have another great string to their bow when talking to their clients about fraud prevention.  The safety and security of client data is at the heart of what we do. By providing pioneering products such as Confirmly we are ensuring our property services remain the safest on the market.”
With locally owned offices throughout England & Wales, X-Press Legal Services is an independent property partner specialising in data and e-conveyancing.  Each office boasts the expertise and insight of local franchisees who work seamlessly alongside regional legal and conveyancing firms.

X-Press franchisees pride themselves on offering a combination of product expertise and highly attentive customer service. X-Press franchisees don’t require any previous property experience but do need meticulous attention to detail, a thorough understanding of technology and strong communication skills.

X-Press franchisees become part of a hugely supportive network, with ongoing comprehensive training and networking events. They also receive mentoring and participate in regular in-house workshops to keep them abreast of X-Press’s latest products and services available to clients.

An X-Press franchise can be run from home, with minimal overhead costs. Working hours are flexible and there is huge potential for growth. X-Press franchisees can turn over in excess of £1m per annum.
