The signage centre has created four new jobs after officially opening its doors for business on the 18th May following the grand opening celebrations.

The Mayor of Maidstone, Cllr Derek Butler officially unveiled FASTSIGNS Maidstone to a crowd of onlookers, including suppliers to the FASTSIGNS network, delegates from neighbouring businesses from the Integra Business Park, and the UK managing director John Davies.

Franchisee Muhannad Ziyadah is managing director of the new centre, a purpose-built facility at Integra, Bircholt Road. With a floor space measuring 3,000 square foot, it will deliver graphics, signage and visual communications services to local businesses and members of the public.

Muhannad, who has worked in the print industry for more than a decade, chose Maidstone because of its thriving business community and good infrastructure. He also said that he was extremely proud to work with the global brand FASTSIGNS:

“It was important for me to work with a well-known name like FASTSIGNS, which has centres in so many different countries. I was very reassured by the communications I had with head office, which included a call from John Davies, so felt confident that we would be well-supported both before the launch and when we were up and running.

“Now that we’re open in Maidstone, I am looking forward to immersing my new business in the local area, we’ll be available to support local events with signage and graphics, I’ve joined the local Business Networking International (BNI) group and will begin sharing visual communication ideas with people from other local companies.”

Describing the centre’s capabilities, he added:

“I wanted to offer our customers complete solutions, rather than single products. My team of sales representatives, graphic designers and sign makers will work collaboratively with our customers to assess their business challenges and provide a complete comprehensive solution, including a number of signage applications to deliver the best results.

“We have invested over £150,000 in setting up the business and have purchased high end machinery such as an Epson S60 printer and a Mimaki Graphtec Plotter to help us provide a great level of service to our customers.”

John Davies, Managing Director of FASTSIGNS UK, said:

“I was delighted to join Muhannad and his team for the opening of FASTSIGNS Maidstone. He is joining a network of 21 franchisees in the UK and brings with him a great deal of experience in offset and digital printing, as well as sales, marketing and quality control. It is the start of an exciting new chapter and I am looking forward to seeing what Muhannad and his staff deliver.”
