EweMove’s hybrid model proving ‘sheep shape’ for future

EweMove Sales & Lettings is marking a double milestone this month as it celebrates five years since launching onto the estate agency market, and a year since its current Managing Director stepped into post.

EweMove launched in 2013 with the purpose of bringing a very different proposition to the market in the form of its ‘hybrid’ model – the combination of online and traditional high street services – to enhance overall customer experience whilst providing an opportunity for budding business owners to build hugely successful estate and lettings agencies.

Having been appointed to the helm of EweMove in 2017, Nick Neill is also celebrating a positive first year as Managing Director and ‘Head Shepherd’, having overseen four portfolio acquisitions, 29 new areas purchased since June 2017, and helping to grow its presence to 122 branches across the UK.

“The last year has been fantastic for the entire EweMove flock,” Nick explained: “The brand was set up with the purpose of not only providing a new and customer-centric alternative for homeowners, buyers, landlords and tenants to access estate agency and lettings services, but supporting agents to become part of that commitment by helping them to build businesses of their own.

“I was one of the very first franchisees to come on board when I opened up the York branch early in 2014, which I’m proud to say remains one of our best performing areas. Having that in-depth and first-hand knowledge of what it’s like to be a EweMove franchisee has been hugely valuable in helping me lead the organisation over the last year, supporting our franchisees in growing their businesses, and continuing to innovate when it comes to combining the best of the online and traditional worlds of estate and lettings agency.

“As our model has matured and evolved, we’ve seen a significant decrease in the time that new franchisees take to start listing properties and delivering the service our clients expect. So much so, that new franchisees, especially from an estate agency background, are able to list and sell properties as soon as day one, which is an astounding achievement and bears testament to the baaarilliance of the EweMove franchise model.”

Having previously worked for one of the world’s leading publishing organisations, Nick was instrumental in developing a £million revenue-generating online product which transformed the way that tax practitioners across the UK accessed vital information, and which gave the corporation a reputation for being a true digital pioneer.

Following his hugely successful sales career, Nick took the decision to bring his skills and experience to the world of estate agency, and he launched EweMove York – only the third EweMove franchise in the UK at that time.

He added: “As the UK’s first hybrid agency we’ve always been at the very forefront of innovation, and it’s this ongoing commitment that will see us continue to lead the way and change the face of estate agency as we know it. EweMove’s proposition is all about our customers’ needs, and our overarching business model ensures that every one of our franchisees is able to consistently deliver on our promise of a high quality and personal service each and every time.”

EweMove, part of the Property Franchise Group family, is the UK’s most trusted sales and letting agency based on independent reviews through Trustpilot.  The country’s first ever hybrid agency launched in 2013, it manages and sells thousands of properties across the length and breadth of the country.  EweMove prides itself on providing exceptional customer service through its network of experienced local property agents on the ground, all supported by a national operations centre and cutting-edge technology.
