énergie Takes the Stage at évolution 2017

On Saturday 4 November, énergie celebrated another year of success at its 14th annual évolution conference.

Held at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry the scale of this year’s event continued to grow, bringing together 500 people throughout the day, including franchisees, clubs staff teams, the énergie Central team, suppliers and guests for a day of inspiration, motivation and celebration.

évolution 2017 held a theme of ‘Take the Stage’, in line with the club training programme designed to encourage staff to shine and offer members an unbeatable gym experience, giving énergie an opportunity to truly wow its guests from start to finish.

The conference was hosted by a number of fantastic speakers, who each delivered a message that was an excellent reminder of what the énergie brand represents. Alongside a handful of énergie’s own speakers, including énergie CEO Jan Spaticchia, they also welcomed special guests Gavin Oattes, managing director of Tree of Knowledge; Dave Wright, CEO of MYZONE; and Paul Brown, Mr Retention and head of the énergie émpower Programme.

We were also joined by Steven Ward, CEO of ukactive and Pip Wilkins, CEO of the British Franchise Association both as guests and leading keynote speakers. Steven and Pip’s attendance is a reflection of énergie’s strengthened relationships with key industry bodies developed in recent years.

évolution is the uncontested highlight of the énergie calendar and provides a unique opportunity to bring together everything across the network. A highlight for many, our evening awards ceremony is a special event which gives the opportunity for franchisees to celebrate with their teams. At énergie we’re proud to recognise and reward our teams and individuals who make a difference, so we congratulate our deserving winners on their tremendous achievements.

énergie Fitness Erith took home the top prize winning ‘Business of the Year’ and a trip to the International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association in the USA, whose mission is to grow, protect and promote the health and fitness industry. Meanwhile énergie Fitness Palmers Green were awarded the énergie WOW Award for outstanding performance all round, and énergie Fitness Ipswich won Club Launch of the Year following their fantastic opening in early November.

The evening entertainment kicked off with our Singing PTs, Andy Chapman from Fit4less Hoddesdon and Paul Chapman from énergie Fitness Palmers Green, who completely ‘took the stage’ during their fantastic opening set. The Wild Boys who followed also put on a world-class show, taking everyone back to the 80s for a night of continued celebration.

Considered ‘the best évolution to date’ by our network of franchisees and special guests, we’re delighted to have hosted our 14th event with such success. If you would like to learn more about what it’s like to be part of our growing network, then request a franchise information pack via our profile – and we could be seeing you at évolution next year!
