d&t Appoints Industry Expert to Expand Funding Team

Multi-award-winning chartered accountants and business advisory firm d&t, has announced the expansion of its franchise funding team with the appointment of Phil Archer as Asset Finance Manager. With more than 30 years’ experience, Phil Archer will now help grow the fully independent funding services that d&t provides to the franchise industry.

Phil Archer, asset finance manager d&t explains: “d&t is established in the market and helps franchises looking to invest and grow by reviewing projects from a 100% independent perspective. By providing impartial reviews, planning services and capitalising on strong relationships with all the main banks, leasing companies and alternative funding providers, we can help to obtain tailored solutions for franchisees, franchisors and all other SMEs in general.

“With a team of over 40 staff all working together to put the needs of clients first, I am excited to join d&t which as a company, has a depth of resources that really sets it apart and in my view places it in a unique and essential space in the market. With franchise owners often looking to invest hard earned personal savings into their new business future, I am delighted to be working with such a focussed team where the priority is always on delivering the best outcome for our client.”

Dave Galvin QFP, managing director, d&t explains: “Growing or starting a franchise usually requires significant outlay and therefore, commercial backing. Successfully obtaining a good solution on funding, depends on a professional, independent and realistic business plan and on approaching the right lenders for the applicant and sector. With d&t this is all taken care of. We are now delighted to welcome Phil Archer who has extensive experience in the finance sector. Phil’s knowledge and expertise makes him well placed to help us expand our services for the benefit of our valued client base.”

Phil Archer joins d&t from another specialist finance firm where he was Head of the Franchise Finance Leasing Centre until earlier this year. During his career in finance which spans three decades, Archer also worked for a division of SNCF: France’s national state-owned railway company as UK Commercial Manager for leasing freight wagons and for Renault Banque where he also spent some time working across Europe as well as being responsible for financial products in the UK. He originally trained at Lombard, cutting his teeth as an area finance manager and with spells working for Citroen Finance and Land Rover Finance under the wider Lombard portfolio of companies.

Galvin concludes: “Whether businesses are looking to lease or purchase equipment, borrow funds or release locked-in equity, as chartered accounts we really know our numbers so we can help overcome financial barriers. As a completely independent funding services company in the franchise industry, our aim is to help franchise owners maximise their potential and help them on their business journey. With a strengthened team, we now look forward to this expansion of our services.”
