Driver Hire’s capital performance

Driver Hire, the leading specialist transport & logistics recruitment franchise, has been enjoying a successful spring in London, completing two franchise re-sales and one greenfield territory covering South West London.

Sisters, Sandy and Sindy Sohal are the latter. They are recruitment professionals with a combined 17 years’ experience, having both previously worked for London-based education sector recruiter, Smart Teachers.

Commenting on their decision to become their own bosses Sandy said: “We opted to buy a Driver Hire franchise because of the advice and support you get when you’re part of a franchise network. Driver Hire has a great reputation developed over the past thirty years. Above all we were impressed with Driver Hire’s professionalism at every level of the business.”

Samantha Phillips

“I’ve worked in recruitment for nine years,” says Samantha. “I joined Driver Hire initially as a recruitment consultant before taking on the role of sales & operations manager. I certainly never dreamed that I’d eventually become the owner.”

Samantha Phillips is the new owner of Driver Hire London South East where she’s made the move from manager to owner, completing the purchase of the business from long-standing franchisee, Gee Bains. Sam knows Driver Hire London South East well, having been a key member of the team for the past six years.

Meanwhile, husband and wife team, Priyank and Pinky Patel have bought Driver Hire’s Kingston. Running their own business is going to be a big career change for both Priyank and Pinky. Before opting to buy their Driver Hire franchise, Priyank had over ten years’ experience in logistics, latterly as an operations manager at parcel delivery company, DPD. Pinky’s business experience is in the mobile telecoms sector, working for Carphone Warehouse. Pinky recently graduated from University of West London with a distinction in Msc Finance and Risk Management.

“We are both excited to be working for ourselves,” says Priyank. “Running our own Driver Hire franchise is a great opportunity for us both. As with any business, it will be a challenge, but our mix of skills will ensure we make a success of our new venture. Together we make a great team.”
