Delightful Desserts: Q&A with Director, Sunny

There are so many franchise options out there, I am overwhelmed! Which one do I choose?

Not all franchisors are the same, so you need to do your research and get to know everything you can about the franchisor. Just because a franchisor is new doesn’t mean it’s not a great opportunity, but the more you know, the better informed your decision can be.

Speak to as many people as you can within the franchise business, find out if the business is a right fit for you in terms of culture, branding and the general day to day running.

Even if you have a general idea of the industry you want to work in, there are numerous options in a variety of price ranges within each industry, leaving you the task of sifting through dozens of websites and information packets to find the one that’s right for you. It can be a long task, but it’s definitely worth it. Research pays off. Identify your personal strengths and weaknesses and match these against the franchisor’s requirements.

My advice to you is look for a business that you are excited about, something that will keep you motivated to work and happy, and look for something that suits your lifestyle- or the lifestyle you want.

At Delightful Desserts we look for hard working individuals with drive and determination. I would say that having a positive attitude is the most important thing, as we can train and support you in all other aspects of the business.
