£3m Milestone Makes it a Special Year for Driver Hire Offices

Two Driver Hire franchisees are completing an outstanding 2014/15: increased demand for their specialist recruitment services has helped Driver Hire Enfield and Driver Hire Aberdeen pass £3m turnover for the first time in their trading history.

Aberdeen, where Grant Wilson is the owner, is also marking its 20th year in business. A new all-time turnover record is a great way to do it. “We’ve enjoyed an exceptional year’s trading, 24% up on last year,” says Grant.

Our wide business mix – as well as drivers we also supply workers to oil and related industries – coupled with an improving economic outlook, has helped us to a record year. But it also comes down to the service and commitment of my staff and candidates all of whom deliver great service day in day out, 365 days a year.

Meanwhile, Enfield also has plenty to celebrate. Franchisee Manjit Singh and his team have had the £3m milestone in their sights for some time, so finally getting past it has been very satisfying for all concerned – a real team effort.

“I thought last year was a good one, but we’ve added another 40% to our turnover this year. We take a great deal of time and trouble to source and recruit the best drivers. It’s clearly paying off as our clients continue to make us first call whenever they need temporary staff.”

Chris Chidley, Driver Hire’s Chief Executive added: “My congratulations go to both these offices. Reaching that level of turnover is a significant achievement and comes down to their hard work and commitment. It’s indicative of the wider Driver Hire network, where franchisees continue to prosper. In the financial year ended April 2015 our network overall increased turnover by 20% to £94m, the highest in its 30 year history.

We have 35 offices with annual turnover in excess of £1m and at least 45 offices will increase their turnover by 25% or more. Our customers clearly value the reliability and peace of mind our high quality recruitment services deliver.” Chris Chidley, Chief Executive
