Mark Butler

Mark Butler is an award-winning Tutor Doctor franchisee and one of the brand’s most accomplished global operators. He launched Tutor Doctor Reading in 2014 with his wife Jo and expanded to four additional territories within four years.(Maidenhead, Wokingham, Kingston-upon-Thames and Walton/Weybridge). 

Fully admitting that they had very little knowledge of the education sector, having two boys at school meant that they at least had a good idea of what happened in school until year 8, but, after training and operating for a while, quickly taught them the rest, and in no time Mark and Jo were self- taught educational gurus.

A consistent top revenue performer worldwide, he was named Franchisee of the Year in 2017. Deeply engaged in the growth of the network, Mark has served on the Franchise Advisory Committee, helping to shape key initiatives and best practices. He also secured Tutor Doctor’s first Local Authority agreement, setting the standard for successful school partnerships. Today, he leads a fully managed operation with four staff and over 100 tutors delivering exceptional educational outcomes.
