John Pratt obtained his law degree from Oxford University. He has been the Legal Advisor to the British Franchise Association, chair of the International Bar Association’s International Franchising Committee and chair of the American Bar Association’s International Franchising Division. In November 2025 John was awarded Lexology’s prestigious Global “Franchise Lawyer of the Year” Award. John is the author of the leading UK textbook, Franchising: Law and Practice.
