Andy Atkinson

Franchisee

Andy Atkinson has been immersed in the world of franchising for his entire career. His family was responsible for bringing the iconic KFC brand to the UK in 1965, and Andy went on to own and manage several successful outlets for over three decades.

During his time with the brand, he took on significant leadership roles, serving as the long-standing Secretary of the KFC Franchise Council and spending 20 years on the KFC Advertising Board, where he was responsible for monitoring the effectiveness of multi-million-pound campaigns.

When introduced to the concept of leaflet delivery via Royal Mail, Andy was stunned that such a powerful marketing tool existed. His initial trial campaign, in his own words, “blew the doors off.” It’s no surprise that after selling his KFC business in 2014, he invested his talent and expertise in Leaflet Delivery UK. Today, he runs one of the company’s most successful franchises in his hometown of Blackpool, offering a unique perspective from both sides of the franchise world.
