Tesh Patel is a franchise owner and Business Development Agent across much of the Thames Valley and East Midlands regions for Subway®.
Tesh graduated with a Batchelors degree in Law in 1995 from Leeds Metropolitan University and started his working career on the graduate scheme for supermarket giant, ASDA as a Buyer. After three years, Tesh took a short break to travel, and upon his return, embarked on his first entrepreneurial venture and bought a convenience store in Barton Upon Humber, which he successfully owned and operated for more than 15 years.
In 2001, Tesh, along with his two brothers, identified an opportunity with up-and-coming Quick Service Restaurant brand, Subway®, and became franchise owners of a Subway® store in Nottingham. They grew their portfolio quickly, owning five stores by 2003 and in 2005, Tesh, along with his brother Jit, became a Business Development Agent for much of the East Midlands and Thames Valley, spanning Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire. In 2012, they expanded the area they were responsible for, taking on the Business Development Agent contract for Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Peterborough.
Business Development Agents have specific experience in opening and developing Subway® franchises and offer support and assistance to franchise owners with everything from site selection, leasing, operations and much more.
Tesh is now responsible for 240 Subway® stores throughout the two regions, as well as owning 35 of his own stores. Looking to the future, Tesh is focused on targeted development of new Subway® stores and growing sales and profitability of existing stores.
