Martin has spent over 30 years in the retail industry and, before joining O2’s Franchise team in 2006, experienced first-hand the changing world of retail, with 15 years at Blockbuster Entertainment as Operations Director.
He has a passion for innovation and believes the high street has a major role to play in helping customers get the most out of today's ever changing digital world.
In 2016, Martin successfully shaped and delivered both the commercial and operational strategy for its 206 franchise stores. His relentless energy and determination in making O2 one of the UK's leading franchisors was rewarded when O2 presented him with the British Franchise Association's Franchisor of the Year award for customer excellence in 2016.
Since joining Wayra as Head of Business Development in 2017, Martin has immersed himself in the UK’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Working alongside both start-ups and corporate businesses he has created a successful formula for ensuring Telefónica, O2 and its customers benefit from some of the most exciting technologies and innovative ideas in Europe.
