Mark began his hospitality career in 1990 working his way up from delivery driver to multi-site manager for Snappy Tomato Pizza in Aberdeen. Mark become regional director for KFC London and the South East in 2000.
Two years later he became the franchise director for Yum! Brands in Iberia and the southern Mediterranean region before broadening his franchise responsibilities to include Russia, Central and Eastern Europe. He returned to the UK in 2006 as Business Development Director for KFC until 2008, when he took the opportunity to become MD of Restaurant Associates, part of the Compass Group. However, he was tempted back to Yum! Brands in 2009 to become MD of Pizza Hut Delivery and his role subsequently expanded to CEO of Pizza Hut UK.
In 2013, Mark then moved into the role of MD and VP Operations for Starbucks UK & Ireland where he oversaw the company generating its highest profits since its foundation in 1998. In 2014 Mark joined Bill’s Restaurants, the 82-strong casual dining chain, and has recently started his current role as CEO of Roadchef Limited.
