As a Business Studies graduate, Bobby worked in Project Management for five years to gain experience in industry and commerce before opening and operating his first Pizza Hut Delivery store, as the brand started to franchise in the UK.
With Pizza Hut new to franchising in the UK, it was a steep learning curve for both franchisor and franchisees and Bobby spent 11 years partnering with Pizza Hut on the Franchise & Marketing Councils. He worked with experienced franchisees and YUM leaders and gained invaluable experience in all aspects of franchising but perhaps most importantly about the challenges of transitioning from a single unit, owner operated franchise business, to a multi-site franchise business.
More recently, Bobby joined Starbucks as a franchise partner and moved into multi-brand, multi-unit franchising and currently has 6 Starbucks stores trading and further store openings scheduled for next year.
Since working closer with HSBC’s franchise team and network, he is considering other suitable franchise opportunities to sit alongside his Starbucks business.
Bobby Sidhu will be speaking at the Multi-unit Franchise Conference on Friday 4 October.
