The Massage Company™ Best Small / Medium Size Business at Surrey Heath Business Awards

Camberley based The Massage Company™ were one of the winners announced at the Surrey Heath Business Awards, a sought after accolade of achievement, an endorsement of hard-work, determination and enterprise in business.

“We are delighted win Best Small / Medium Size Business in Surrey,” said Charlie Thompson, Operations Director at The Massage Company, whose vision is to bring high-quality massage to the mainstream. To be nominated into this category (under 250 employees) and win the overall award is a big recognition of the achievements of the team in Camberley, in just over a year of opening. “As a business we bring a whole new concept to the UK. Massage should not just be a luxury – it should be a vital part of leading a better and more balanced life. We have invested heavily in training, partnering with massage expert John Holman, to ensure our massages are consistently high-quality every time, and offer a convenient and accessible centre that is open 7 days a week.”

It seems to be working – the business has achieved a significant online following, delivered over 5,000 massages in 12 months, built a strong following for its unique membership concept, and even sold 3 franchises in its first year. The membership operates like a gym, with a direct debit giving members a massage a month for a preferential price.

To receive this award is not only a recognition of what we offer but a wider encouragement to anyone or any business thinking of doing something different. It can work, it does make a difference and Surrey Heath is a great place to get started.”
