Suit the City Announce Launch of Women’s Made-to-Measure Franchise

Following the successful launch of the women’s made-to-measure franchise with Suit the City’s existing franchisees, the company is delighted to announce a new franchise offering for those that want to focus on the rapidly growing demand for women’s made-to-measure clothing in the U.K.

Suit the City started its business to cater to the women’s market in 2007 following research that showed a high level of demand for excellent quality made-to-measure tailoring from executive women (many of whom have been regular visitors over the last 8 years).

The company added men’s tailoring to its portfolio in 2009 and the sales are now equal to those to women. The franchise was trialled in 2012 with a one year pilot programme offering the men’s service and in 2013 two franchisees were taken on with expansion into the women’s market earlier this year.

The franchise will be sold at the slightly higher price of £22,950 +VAT, compared to the men’s franchise at £19,950+VAT. This additional fee is due to the extra training and samples required to measure women.

It is hoped that this move will bring a flood of extra franchisees to the business and allow the company to expand in line with its projections.

No tailoring expertise is required as all garments are manufactured by the company’s tailors in Europe. The target market for the franchise will include image consultants in addition to the sales and marketing professionals currently sought.
