Preston and Wallington Keep Énergie Target on Track

The openings of Fit4less in Preston and Wallington in February has kept the énergie Group’s plan of openings for 2015 firmly on track. At the end of 2014, the Group outlined plans for 36 openings in 2015, which they confirm is going according to plan. 

In Preston a 10,000 sqft warehouse has been transformed into a state-of-the-art gym featuring the latest in Precor cardio equipment, an extensive free weights area and seven meter Rig.

“We are extremely excited to bring Fit4less to Preston where there is already a good mix of fitness facilities but we believe Fit4less has the potential to firmly make its mark on the area,” says Franchisee Peter Bleasdale. Following a pre-launch period and one week into opening, the gym has already attracted over 1,000 members.

After a long career working in large companies, initially as an engineer and more recently in business management, Peter decided to set up an independent business and Fit4Less was ideal, especially as it offered an opportunity to work with his son, Dan.

Dan Bleasdale, who will assume the role as the Manager of Fit4less, Preston says, “This is a great opportunity for me to apply my experience and knowledge to the family business. The feedback since opening has been better than we could have imagined and already the word is spreading throughout Preston.”

Wallington offers equally high end equipment and studio space over a 7,000sqft location and replaces the Rig for a TRX A Frame. 

Franchisee at Fit4less Wallington, Mala Edwards said: “We have had a strong response to the opening with over 1,300 members sign up during presale and within the first week of opening.

“This is exactly what the area needed and the location has proven extremely popular with our members for its ease to get to and park.

Mala is joint franchise with Michael Michael. Mala is a graduate in Media BA (Hons) and has a keen interest in Fitness and Nutrition and Michael has many years of Personal Training experience.

Mala will run the operational side of the business whilst Michael will be hands on day to day in the gym.

Fit4less Preston and Wallington make the Fit4less brand numbers 37th Fit4less to open across the énergie Group, bringing the total number of fitness clubs just short of 100 in the UK and Europe.

Membership presales have now commenced at clubs in Wembley and Wellingborough which are under construction this month. New openings are to follow in the next quarter in Northampton, Portsmouth, Hatfield, Hoddesden, Loughborough and West Ealing.
