Newest Snap Fitness location breaks global presale record

Leading fitness franchise Snap Fitness’ latest gym opening has broken a global record; opening with more members than any other gym in the brand’s 13-year history.

Snap Fitness Longford, located in the Republic of Ireland, is within a prime retail park and has breathed new life into a property which was left vacant after Argos closed its doors in 2023.

The 10,000 sq. ft. gym is owned by a franchisee group spearheaded by family trio Dalvinder, Sam and Aaron Aujla and is their fifth Snap Fitness site. The gym’s overwhelming success has been a true team effort between franchisor and franchisee; from finding the perfect location to creating a facility the local community can be proud of.

“We’re over the moon with the launch of our latest Snap Fitness location,” said Sam. “Achieving this record is a result of some fantastic teamwork between ourselves and Snap Fitness, as well as applying everything we’ve learned over the past five years. We’re excited to see this club grow and continue to enhance our member experience across all our sites.”

“I’m immensely proud of our team and franchise partners for setting this global milestone. Franchising thrives on collaboration, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see the continued strong demand for Snap Fitness gyms and to see our business model consistently delivering outstanding results across the network.”
Kevin Yates CEO of Lift Brands EMEA

“For anyone considering investing in the fitness industry, I hope records like this show that we’re still very much a sector on the rise. Gym memberships continue to be seen as essential for many people and there is still so much untapped opportunity out there.”

Snap Fitness Longford is the brand’s seventh location in the Republic of Ireland, and their 107th site across the UK & Ireland. It’s set for a prolific flurry of openings over the next 12 months as it continues to establish itself as one of the UK & Ireland’s largest gym operators.
