More join the flock thanks to EweMove’s biggest acquisition yet

Hybrid brand EweMove Sales & Lettings is celebrating success after completing on its biggest acquisition to date.

The Sheffield branch of EweMove, owned and operated by Bob Brown, has taken over fellow Sheffield-based lettings agents, Castle Estates, which has seen over 350 properties added to the EweMove portfolio and five new team members joining the ‘flock’.

EweMove Sheffield is one of the longest running franchise operations under the hybrid brand. Managing Director, Bob Brown, explained: “As a former property owner-landlord, I was determined to set up my own business. When the pilot scheme with EweMove was announced back in 2013, I immediately said I’d take the Sheffield territory without even knowing the costs, as the opportunity was just too good to miss!

“Almost five years later, we’re proud to be amongst the top performing EweMove branches, and thanks to our team’s ongoing hard work, we’re positioned for a period of sustainable growth with the addition of 350 properties to our existing sales and lettings portfolio.”

Bob Brown was one of the original pilot franchisees of EweMove Sales & Lettings in 2013, having set up with his Property Manager Tom Aspinal, who previously worked at the National Property Group. The full re-branding of Castle Estates’ portfolio to EweMove is scheduled to take place over the next couple of months.

Terry Rogers, who sold the business to Bob, said: “We received more than three substantial offers to buy the business, but we agreed with Bob and this team because I was impressed by EweMove’s philosophy to look after its landlords and its team, not to mention its state-of-the-art technology and support network.”

Nick Neill, Head Shepherd at EweMove Sales & Lettings, added: “We’re absolutely thrilled for Bob who has built a hugely successful business. With a dedicated support network and pioneering technology available to all our franchisees, their time is freed up to do more of the things that matter to their clients – to be the genuinely local person on the ground, there to see the whole buying and selling process through seamlessly.

“Our franchisees have the freedom to build their businesses how it best works for them – whether it’s acquiring or setting up traditional high street branches like those in Sheffield and Biddulph, working from a dedicated space at home, or as part of a serviced office.”
