Home Instead tops home care sector in Financial Times ‘Best Employers’ list

Home Instead UK has been named the highest ranking home care company in the Financial Times’ ‘Best Employers’ list out of 500 major UK businesses, many of which are in the healthcare and social sector.

Around 20,000 people were interviewed from a wide range of companies and surveyed on areas such as career prospects, company image, salary and working conditions.

Home Instead UK was within the top five companies in ‘Healthcare & Social’, which is the most predominant category in the list, taking number 28 in the list overall.

With several opportunities to undergo training, Home Instead enables care professionals to specialise in certain areas, including dementia and Parkinson’s care, giving them the chance to upskill and progress in their careers.

Ruth Brown, Managing Director of Home Instead UK said: “To be ranked in the top 10% of Healthcare & Social companies alongside some of the UK’s most established and well-known brands makes this achievement even more meaningful.”

“This recognition is a true testament to the dedication, compassion and professionalism of our teams across the country. Every single day, they deliver exceptional care to people in their own homes, supporting independence and improving lives. It is their commitment to quality, to one another, and to the communities they serve that has made this possible.”

“We have always believed that when you look after your people, they will look after your clients. This milestone reflects the culture we have built together, one rooted in respect, purpose and pride and we remain committed to raising the standard of home care across the UK.”

“A huge thank you to all of our amazing people at Home Instead, this achievement is because of you!”

The Financial Times has previously commended Home Instead UK’s approach to diversity and inclusion, placing the company in its ‘Europe’s Diversity Leaders’ list and recognising its commitment to workplace equality.
