Home Instead shortlisted for Home Care Provider of the Year at Health Investor Awards

Home Instead has been shortlisted for Home Care Provider of the Year at the Health Investor Awards, recognising the company’s growing healthcare services and its role in strengthening quality home care for older people in communities across the UK.

The Health Investor Awards celebrate innovation and excellence across the health and social care sector. Home Instead joins three other providers in the category it is nominated for, whilst several well-known organisations, including Bupa and Practice Plus Group, make the shortlists in other categories.

Judges were impressed by Home Instead’s growing ‘Healthcare at Home’ service and its increasing role as a trusted partner to the NHS. As more of its care professionals are undergoing additional training, a rising number Home Instead teams across the country are equipped to treat people living with complex needs and long-term conditions, including dementia, diabetes and cardiovascular disease. By supporting timely, safe and efficient hospital discharge, Home Instead is playing an active role in alleviating pressure on the NHS.

Ruth Brown, MD of Home Instead UK, says: “It’s an honour to be amongst the finalists of the Health Investor Awards, and it comes at a key time for the business. We’re increasingly engaging with the Government and other organisations in the health and care sector to broaden what social care can deliver and paving the way for home care to have a more prominent role within the wider healthcare system.”

“I want to thank people across Home Instead UK, from Care Professionals, to franchise owners, to office teams, whose unwavering commitment has helped Home Instead earn its reputation as a quality home care company. Being shortlisted in the Health Investor Awards is an achievement shared by us all.”

“Congratulations to all of the finalists and I look forward to hearing about the remarkable contribution you have made to the sector at the upcoming awards.”

The winners will be announced at a ceremony on June at the Grosvenor House Hotel, bringing together enthusiastic figures across health and social care for a special event.
