From Taekwondo champion to Franchise entrepreneur: Devanshi Vyas’s journey with Future Stars Coaching

Devanshi Vyas never imagined that her childhood passion for sport would lead her to become a business owner, but today she runs her own Future Stars Coaching franchise in Leicester helping children discover the joy of sport.

Before embarking on her journey as a franchisee, Devanshi built her career in civil engineering yet sports always remained at the centre of her life. “I joined every sports club I could as a kid. I started Taekwondo in primary school and eventually won Gold at the World Championships,” she explains. “From there, I’ve carried on with sports and it continues to be a huge part of my life.”

Devanshi’s journey to Future Stars Coaching began at The National Franchise Exhibition at the NEC, Birmingham, in 2024. What attracted her was more than just a business opportunity, it was shared values. “They put kids first and are genuinely focused on promoting the well-being of children. The support system they offered also matched exactly what I needed at the time.”

Despite having no formal qualifications in sports coaching, she felt confident in investing in a business that matched her passion.

“I think it was a perfect opportunity for me to do something I love even though I had no prior experience in the industry.”

Standing in the exact place she met the franchisor one year on she reflects, “It’s great to be here again on the other side this year to support their stand, share my experience and get people on board.”

Devanshi’s advice for prospective franchisees visiting The Franchise Exhibitions is simple: be inquisitive.

“Ask lots of questions and don’t be scared to ask the difficult ones. To truly understand a franchise, you need to know all the details: the good, the potential challenges, and how it can fit into your life.”

Looking back, Devanshi describes her journey as a dream come true. She describes that “through Future Stars Coaching, I’ve been able to launch a martial arts club at the very primary school where I first discovered my love for Taekwondo. It feels like a true full-circle moment to return to the place where my journey began and pass on the same lifelong skills martial arts taught me.” As a Future stars Franchisee, she now has the platform to combine her love of sport with the opportunity to inspire the next generation, proving that passion and the right support can transform a career.

Devanshi’s success story is a great example of the life-changing opportunities offered by The Franchise Exhibitions. Interested in following in her footsteps? Find out more about upcoming events and book your free tickets today!
