Cleaning company makes donation to Brian House Children’s Hospice

An award-winning, domestic cleaning business in Blackpool has donated £630 to Brian House Children’s Hospice after raising funds via its Customer Loyalty Scheme.

Merry Maids, which operates across Blackpool, Fylde and Preston launched the option of a £5 donation to Brian House Children’s Hospice as part of its Customer Loyalty Scheme in November 2014. To date the scheme has raised £630 and the company hopes to raise more funds in the future.

Brian House is a specialist unit within the Trinity Hospice, specialising in palliative care for children within Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre.  As one of only a handful of local children’s hospices in the UK it currently supports over 80 families.

Nicky Morris, director of Merry Maids Fylde, Blackpool and Preston said:

We’re delighted to be able to support Brian House Children’s Hospice and make this pledge via our Customer Loyalty Scheme. Merry Maids has the privilege of serving a great number of customers and we’ve been offering each of them either a free gift or a £5 donation to the hospice after every sixth clean. We love it that, together with our customers, we’ve been able to donate so much money to a very special, local cause.”

Janet Atkins, corporate fundraiser at Trinity Hospice, added:

Merry Maids have been  long-time supporters of Brian House and we are so grateful for their continued support. We wish to thank them and their customers for this generous donation, their generosity will make such a difference to our children”

In 2014, Steve Morris, co-Director of Merry Maids Fylde, Blackpool & Preston, raised a further £2000 for Brian House Children’s Hospice when he cycled from his home town of Lytham St Anne’s to Palermo in Sicily.

Merry Maids of Fylde and Blackpool first launched their professional domestic cleaning business in 2002 and expanded into Preston in 2011.
