Care Professional of the Year: Yasmin Crouch

We were delighted to name Yasmin Crouch from our Broadstairs, Ramsgate, and Margate office as our Care Professional of the Year. At Home Instead, our Care Professionals are at the heart of everything we do, and this national award aims to shine a light on their dedication, compassion, and the extraordinary impact they make every day.

Crowned Care Professional of the Year at our conference, Yasmin was one of three worthy finalists, selected from 12,000 Care Professionals across 260 Home Instead franchise offices in the UK. She was recognised not only for her exceptional care but also for the emotional support she provides to clients and their families.

A career built on passion and dedication

Yasmin began her career in care after college, joining Home Instead Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Margate a decade ago, and Yasmin has never looked back. Having previously worked in a care home, she now delivers a range of personalised care services, from companionship to specialist dementia care, helping older adults continue living in the comfort of their own homes.

Reflecting on her career, Yasmin commented:

“What I love most about my role as a care professional is the clients and the amazing people I work with in my team.”

“Since starting a career in care, I’ve never looked back, as being a care professional is about more than just providing support, it’s about forming meaningful connections with older adults and their families and making a real difference in their lives.”

Yasmin was nominated for this award by her colleagues for her tireless dedication and support for a client who had suffered a stroke. She helped boost his confidence and guided him through simple stretches to improve his mobility, continuing to provide him with ongoing encouragement and support.

Another example of her dedication is the care she provides to a lady with dementia. Yasmin’s support doesn’t just extend to the client, it also gives the client’s husband a much-needed break, enabling the couple to spend quality time together and build on the happy memories they share.

Celebrating excellence at our conference

Yasmin’s recognition as Care Professional of the Year was a standout moment at the conference: “Winning the award was such an amazing experience, and it was an honour to stand alongside fellow nominees, Louisa and Laura. They were so lovely, and we had a great time getting to know each other and meeting the wonderful Lorraine Kelly!”

Sabina Sabatowska, Registered Manager at Home Instead Broadstairs, Ramsgate, and Margate, shared: “I’ve had the pleasure of working with Yasmin for 4 years now, and she epitomizes dedication in the care sector. Yasmin reflects Home Instead’s values entirely, making her a truly deserving Care Professional of the Year. This is a key turning point for Yasmin’s career and as an individual, and I look forward to seeing how her career develops and flourishes with Home Instead.”

Wafa Mohbubul, owner of Home Instead Broadstairs, Ramsgate, and Margate, also commented: “Compassion, kindness, and patience are key qualities for anyone working in care, and Yasmin shows these qualities in abundance. I’m incredibly proud to see her achieve this award; it’s a testament to the value we place on her dedication and hard work.”
