Bluebird Care’s Fiona Williams scoops Inspirational Woman in Franchising Award

Fiona Williams, Bluebird Care’s director of operations, has won the Inspirational Woman in Franchising Award at the 7th NatWest Encouraging Woman into Franchising (EWIF)Awards.

The awards ceremony and drinks reception took place on Tuesday 16th May in Bishopsgate London and included inspirational keynote speaker Melody Hossaini. The awards bring together woman in franchising, celebrating their achievements and contributions they have made to the franchising industry.

EWIF’s goal is to inspire and support woman who are already in the franchising industry or considering franchising. The organisation is run by volunteers within the franchise industry and offer a number of services to their members.

Speaking after the awards ceremony Clive Sawyer, CEO of EWIF commented:

Every year the NatWest EWIF awards get bigger and bigger and I can’t believe we’ve just finished our seventh Awards! EWIF membership is growing year-on-year, and each year sees record numbers of entries. This demonstrates how women are coming forward to shout about their achievements.”

This year’s awards featured 9 categories, with Fiona nominated as a finalist in two categories; Inspirational Woman in Franchising and Overall Woman in Franchising.

The Inspirational Woman in Franchising Award recognises the most inspirational woman involved in franchising and was open to Woman franchisors, franchisees and service providers.

Reflecting on her win, Fiona said:

I am overwhelmed to have received this award, it is a privilege to be recognised as an inspirational woman within the franchising industry, each award category had so many strong finalists so I am thrilled to be given this award. I get up every morning and I feel driven to go into work and be a champion for what’s best in our industry. I hope that this achievement gives everyone in my network a great boost and I hope I can continue to inspire everyone around me.”
