Alarm bells ringing for new franchisee in Warrington

Nigel Knowles & Jordan

A former sales manager with a global industrial manufacturer is heading up a fire and security company’s Warrington franchise.

Nigel Knowles, 41, who has worked in the electrical engineering sector for more than twenty years, eleven of which were spent as a service manager, is now branch director of Jackson Fire & Security in Warrington. The firm, based on Rylands Street, will cover Warrington, St Helens, Northwich, Frodsham, Runcorn, Widnes and the surrounding areas.

He explains: “I’m looking forward to working with new and existing customers in the region to bring the company’s expertise closer to them. We can provide one cost-saving solution for our B2B clients. We work with all types of organisations from local authorities, universities, colleges, large factories, small offices through to the smallest of businesses. Some of our clients include the University of Chester, Jack & Jones, Mococo and Warrington Golf Club.

Nigel adds: “I started with Jackson Fire in January 2017 and so far, it’s been going really well, they have a great team of people in place and as a network they are growing all the time. Since I started I have been on a steep learning curve, but this is great for someone like me who craves developing new skills and meeting new people. I have now recruited Jordan, our Warrington-based engineer who is looking forward to getting out and meeting our customers old and new.”

Steve Jackson, managing director of Jackson Fire & Security, adds: “Nigel’s background in sales made him a perfect candidate for Jackson Fire & Security. Combine this with his technical knowledge and experience and he is going to be a real asset to the company.”

Founded in 1991, Jackson Fire & Security employs 40 people across franchises in North Wales, North West England, Yorkshire, Staffordshire and Cambridgeshire.

Jackson Fire & Security provide a one-call solution whereby the engineers carry out servicing of fire and security systems, plus emergency lighting and fire extinguishers during a single visit, to save inconvenience and site attendance fees for customers and provide multiple-revenue streams for Jackson franchisees.

One of the UK’s leading independent providers of fire and security systems, they are NSI gold accredited for fire and security systems.
