Why women are choosing Auditel
Auditel is the UK’s leading home-based executive franchise opportunity. Established in 1994, they have built a network of over one hundred and twenty highly skilled cost and purchase management specialists.
There are a number of women in the network. Gillian Gibbon, who joined in 2003, says: “ I spent about six months investigating the idea of setting up my own business. I was a telecoms executive and it was important to my family for me to continue to earn a good income. Now that I’m through the initial stages I’m enjoying the business. I have just about replaced my salary. I don’t have to attend boring internal meetings, or commute to work. There are no bosses or office politics.” Last year, to reward her success in the network, Gillian was chosen as Auditel Franchisee of the Year.
Natalie Davies, a financial services senior manager, joined in September 2008. She says: “After researching franchises for some time, the question was not whether to choose Auditel or another franchise, but whether to choose Auditel or nothing. Throughout the entire process, the Head Office team has been open, honest, friendly and helpful. The network of Affiliates is one of the many benefits the organisation has to offer.”
Natalie has already opened seven clients including five independent schools, a hospital and a chain of chocolate shops. She achieved her first saving this week of £26,000 for a boarding school on renegotiating an LPG installation.
Although many of Auditel’s lady franchisees manage their own businesses, some work with their husband or partner. Norwich-based William and Vicky Ball, who originally became franchisees in 1997, renewed their standard five-year agreement in 2002. They decided to sign up for another ten years in 2007, expressing their complete confidence and satisfaction with the Auditel business format. William and Vicky said: “ We are not just happy but delighted with this decision!”
The Ball’s were the only Auditel Affiliates in their area. In that month however, they were delighted to learn about a new franchisee, Keith Page, who lives just five miles away! They both foresaw the advantages of pooling their resources and now work together on joint ventures. “Our association has a really good feel”, says William.
Laurence Knott, Auditel’s Head of Marketing, reveals: “Companies are always looking to lower the cost of business but never more so than in the current economic climate. We have had a record number of new franchisees so far this year. They recognise that there is a huge opportunity to invest in an Auditel franchise at this time – especially as more than one in five of our franchisees are currently earning in excess of £100k!”
