TAB sets up UK franchise network
Executives looking for a change of career or consultants wanting to add a new income stream are being targeted by The Alternative Board (TAB), the peer support and coaching organisation, which is establishing a franchise network in the UK.
Martin Allison, Chairman of TAB UK, explained: “The Alternative Board has been operating successfully in the US for nearly 20 years and now has boards established in more than 1,000 towns and cities in the US, Canada and South America.
“The TAB concept aims to provide support for the owners and managers of small and medium-sized businesses to help them to grow and develop more quickly than they might otherwise do.
“The key element of our offering is the creation of peer advisory boards, comprising owners or CEOs from non-competing businesses, who meet monthly to share insights and experiences.”
Board members pay approximately £500 a month, for which they get – in addition to board meetings – one hour’s one-to-one coaching and access to a range of sophisticated on-line business tools.
