Schools sign competition for safer driving
Chelmsford based FASTSIGNS® and Braintree Retail Park are about to award one lucky child with first prize in a design competition. Local school children have been designing ‘slow down’ signs to encourage safer driving in the Retail Park.
The ceremony will take place on Friday 12th June at 4.30pm in the Numberton Function Suite. Cllr Margaret Galione will be awarding the prizes and the members of the Essex police will be attending.
FASTSIGNS® currently supply signage to Braintree Retail Park for several years following a personal recommendation. Estates Services Manager David Murray said, “This competition has really got the kids inspired! And the prizes donated have been fantastic”
The top three entrants will each receive a miniature version of their winning signs and they will then be incorporated into road traffic signs around the Retail Park.
Jenny Boreham, owner of FASTSIGNS® Chelmsford commented, “The standard has been really high. It’s great to see so many innovative entries.”
