Mr Electric franchisees can boost their earnings

Existing electricians and people with management experience alike have an opportunity to invest in their own Mr Electric franchise, offering a wide range of electrical services under a household name.

Research has shown that given the choice, consumers prefer to use contractors with a recognisable brand name.

Launched in the UK in 1997 Mr Electric has an established network covering more than 60 franchise territories. The target is to reach 95 franchise territories in the next three years.

As the company expands, the search continues for qualified electricians who are keen to run their own business, and for experienced managers and business owners, who may already be running their own electrical company and would like the added the benefits of the Mr Electric brand.

National franchise development manager June Falvey said: "We provide all the training and support they need. In the case of individual electricians we provide them with the business and marketing training they need to run their own business, and we provide management franchise owners with technical and electrical support, including finding skilled staff."

As well as the business they generate for themselves in their own exclusive territory, Mr Electric franchisees can boost their earnings through additional work that comes through a national accounts department. The company is working on a number of high profile contracts including Western Electric's Smart Meter installation programme, and British Gas Baxi Ecogen systems.
The promotion of energy saving electrical products and eco friendly installations, through Mr Electric's Conserve campaign could further boost their revenue and contribute to the UK's carbon reduction targets.
Opportunities are currently available in most areas of the country.
