Local business gets a fast finish!
Mark Davies, 26, owner of FASTSIGNS in Huddersfield is now in the lead position of the Texaco Havoline Ginetta Championship, after giving an impressive performance at Oulton Park on Monday (13 April 2009).
A former Renault Clio racer, Mark is one of the favourites to win the championship and hopes to continue his performance in the next race on 25-26 April at Donington Park. He met his targets this weekend, taking himself to the position of championship leader after recording double pole position, with a second place in round one and a win for round two.
Mark said, “There was a good range of racers, seasoned and new comers, so I had to push hard to get to a good finish position. Our FASTSIGNS car lived up to its expectation.”
His father and co-owner Trevor watched eagerly from the sidelines as Mark swept around the Oulton track in his FASTSIGNS G20 car.
Trevor added, “It’s great that he can get out and race again; and his racing also gives us the opportunity to promote the FASTSIGNS brand at race circuits all over the country.”
Mark’s day job means running the FASTSIGNS centre in Hoyer Industrial park, 517 Leeds Road, Huddersfield, which produces signs and graphic products for local businesses.
