Investing in a brand new business

NEW franchises are a chance to get into a business from the start, but investigate them extra carefully to ensure the concept has been thoroughly tested before launch.
Latest new franchises include Envos, which involves running a team that provides Energy Performance Certificates for commercial buildings — now a legal requirement. A background in property and management experience is helpful, and set-up costs £25,000.
Weight-management organisation Dietcare has started franchising, and is looking for people interested in health and nutrition to provide dietary help tailored to individuals. The investment is £14,750.
