“I’m finding it really easy,” says Kylee
As Shopper Anonymous launches the UK’s very first Mystery Shopping Franchise its new Business Development Manager, Kylee Charles tells us how she is finding selling its services.
28 year old Kylee has experience in customer service and marketing and was initially uncertain at first as to how challenging her direct sales role within the West Sussex region of Shopper Anonymous would be.
“My previous experience lies with customer interaction and marketing, rather than direct sales, but after 3 months I have smashed my 6 month goals purely because of the product being great - I’m finding it really easy to sell,” says Kylee.
Shopper Anonymous founder, Jonathan Winchester created this new role to develop the UK business after previous success in Australia and New Zealand. “It is extremely important that we continue to drive the business forward, even while we offer the franchise package as this will mean more work for everyone including the franchisees,” explains Jonathan.
At a time when the media is reporting a downturn in the economic climate, consumer opinions and spending patterns are shifting. Companies that under perform in terms of customer care will not be tolerated. Those companies that understand their customers will succeed; they will be the businesses that pay attention to what their shopping experience offers above the competition.
Shopper Anonymous is positioned to assist retailers and specialises in giving feedback to clients about their customer service in order to help them improve their profitability and sustainability. The style of feedback is both unique and motivating and has been a proven success to hundreds of organisations.
Clients range from solicitors, supermarkets, coffee shops, bakeries, security companies, opticians, whole towns and cities, hardware stores, hotels, restaurants, adventure parks, tourist attractions, music stores, pharmacies, and numerous website businesses.
Franchisees will be supported by a comprehensive operations manual after undertaking training. While franchisees will be responsible for building up clientele within their franchise zone, Kylee and the head office team are poised to seek out and deliver national mystery shopping contracts, of which a proportion of this work can be carried out by the franchisees in each region.
Graham Seymour operates his Shopper Anonymous franchise in Kent “I started working with Shopper Anonymous in October 2007, undertaking some mystery shops for Jonathan when my work situation presented me with an opportunity to consider my future career,” says Graham who decided to take the franchise partly because he could see the positive impact that the mystery shopping feedback has on the businesses that use the service.
This is an exciting, evolving business which suits individuals who are keen to own their business in a developing market estimated to be worth £25 million in the UK and rising rapidly year on year. “Our turnover has increased by around 300% in the last 3 years showing a consistent increase in demand,” adds Jonathan.
