Andy Lian grasped the opportunity to jump off the corporate ladder and use his creative side when he came across Recognition Express, the UK’s leading specialist supplier of corporate recognition products, clothing and business gifts.

Born in Kuala Lumpur, Andy moved to the UK in 1979 when he was 13 yrs old. Previously an Accountant for the NHS, Andy was looking for a new career when he was presented with the opportunity to take over Recognition Express in South Buckinghamshire.

Andy explains:  “I always wanted to do something hands-on and I was interested in signage. I’d had enough of corporate politics and saw the chance to earn a living in a way that would give me more flexibility and allow me to be master of my own destiny.”

The business is a successful going concern and Andy has inherited many clients, so he is already rushed off his feet.
