Creme de la creme recognised at Business For Breakfast awards 2008

Business For Breakfast (BforB), one of the UK’s leading networking organisations, celebrated the very best of the region’s most ambitious businesses with its coveted Annual Awards dinner for members.

The awards, now in its 3rd year, recognise its members and the cream of the business industry for their achievements within the BforB network.  Hosted by company founders, John and Mel Fisher, the awards were held at the Renaissance Hotel in Manchester on 14th March with over 200 representatives from the UK’s elite SME sector in attendance.

With seven categories, it is a platform for successful organisations and their people within, to be commended for their input to the 85 strong BforB networking groups across the UK – groups which provide a structured and supportive forum for developing referred business of all types and sizes which increase sales, attract new clients and add value to the bottom line for members.

With over 1,000 members, the award winners were carefully selected and nominated by each Business For Breakfast Franchise Director using a set of pre-defined criteria and key performance indicators.  The 2008 winners within each category are:

John Fisher, founder of Business for Breakfast, said: “Each year, the quality of the entries just gets better and better and we are delighted that this year has been no exception.  Each of our members work incredibly hard throughout the year to make BforB what it is and these awards allow us to reward and recognise the impact and ongoing contribution that these local business people make to the BforB network to keep it at the forefront of the UK business arena.

“We all know that 2008 is proving to be more of a challenging year on the business front, but we believe that this is even more reason to gain credibility and build stronger relationships with business peers in order for businesses to thrive through quality networking and referrals.”

Already established by members as one of the most highly anticipated and successful events on the corporate calendar and core to the ethos of BforB, the black tie event also provided guests with the unique opportunity to mix and mingle with other likeminded entrepreneurs, business journalists and leading players from various industries. The event also raised over £3000 for its nominated charity, The Variety Club of Great Britain.
