CHIPSAWAY franchisee Mike Bruns

CHIPSAWAY franchisee Mike Bruns believes in keeping it in the family, and has taken on his father Danny to help him as his business expands.
He joined the leading automotive paintwork repair specialist almost seven years ago and says he’s been busy ever since.
He explained: “The business launch was brilliant, and I had £3,500 worth of business booked in on my first day. From there things have just got busier, largely through word of mouth recommendations. It’s got to a point now where I definitely need someone to help me, both in meeting increased demand for my services and in expanding my business further. My dad was the person who recommended ChipsAway to me when I first explored working for myself, so it seems a perfect solution to have him join me now.”
Mr Bruns and his father are now in the process of deciding whether to invest in a second van or go straight for the option of opening a fixed base ChipsAway CarCare Centre, which would allow them to process more vehicles.
He added: “My life is so different from when I used to work at the bank. I have more job satisfaction and better financial rewards and with my dad coming on board, I know we’ve both got an even better future ahead ofus.”
